Research
My research work combines my interest in English and Global Relations. I work with online literature, published literature, how literature affects the idea of the nation-state, pop culture discourse, and state policies that affect class. The following projects are research from undergrad as well as some of my marketing reports for my previous internships.
As queerness is shunned to the side, people began to interpret media by themselves. They would see queerness in media and reinterpret it as their own. This grew even further online, as the internet was “seemingly freed from real-life hegemonic structures, digital technology advocates hoped to progress more democratic and power-equal structures”...Queer people began to form communities online rather than being open and public so they could be safe from harm."
